CIMA’s latest pass rates are currently available on its website.
Pass rates for all case study levels remained steady from August to November 2021.
Operational level was steady from 53% in August to 52% in November. The percentage still seems a lot lower and could still be improved.
Management level jumped slightly from 68% in August to 73% in November. A positive sign for students since we’re continuing the trend of being between 65%-75% since November 2020.
Strategic level is its usual over-60 slot at 67% in November. Not much different from August’s 69%.
Gateway level maintains its low numbers, but showing improvement at the 40% range – 40% in February, 41% in May, 43% in August and 42% in November. Gateway continues its high result streak in 2021. Gateway has always had low numbers, assumed to be due to the fact that Gateway students find it harder to transition into case study preparation.
The OT exam pass rates covering the 2019 Professional Qualifications have come out covering the period 1 November 2020 to 30 November 2021. All good results with nothing below 50%.
Despite the good performance shown in the pass rates, students must not become complacent about studying. Good results do not mean that the exams are any easier. I’d like to think that it’s more about students focusing and dedicating more towards their studies, thereby earning good marks for their exams.
