CIMA’s latest case study pass rates have now been updated to include the November 2025 and February 2026 sittings and are available on its website.
Operational level continues its strong run, holding steady at 70% between August and November 2025 before rising to 73% in February 2026. These are encouraging results and suggest that OCS students are continuing to prepare effectively for the case study exam.
Management level also remains firmly in the 60% range, recording 65% in August 2025, dipping slightly to 63% in November 2025, before returning to 65% in February 2026. The improvement may partly reflect the additional time students have to work with the pre-seen material, which is used across both sittings. That said, maintaining pass rates in the mid-60s remains a notable achievement.
Strategic level appears to be facing greater challenges. Pass rates started strongly at 61% in August 2025 but gradually declined to 59% in November 2025 and 55% in February 2026. Whether this marks the start of a longer-term trend remains to be seen. It does, however, reinforce the fact that CIMA’s Strategic Case Study is a demanding examination.
New pass rates for the Objective Tests (OTs) and Certificate level exams have also been published, covering the period from November 2024 to November 2025. Overall, the results were broadly in line with previous years, although P2 and F2 continue to record some of the lower pass rates. P2, in particular, has long had a reputation for being one of the more challenging papers.
Despite the good performance shown in the pass rates, students must not become complacent about studying. Good results do not mean that the exams are any easier. I’d like to think that it’s more about students focusing and dedicating more towards their studies, thereby earning good marks for their exams.
