CIMA has once again released its latest pass rates covering the period leading up to the end of September 2017.
Gateway level pass rates continue to be below 50% which probably highlights that Gateway students may be finding it hard to transition into case study preparation.
Operational level went up by a small margin, finally breaking the 50% barrier this year (2017) and settling in nicely at 53%.
While Management level moved a few steps back from 73% to 68%, it’s nothing major to report about.
Strategic level continues on with its average of 60+% for the last year.
The OT exam pass rates are calculated on total exams passed over total exams taken for the periods stated below. Highlighted in blue are the subjects/courses that have less than 50% pass rate. P1 and P2 continue to be deemed the “dreaded” subjects based according to the results.
It is important to note that the Certificate level percentages are based on the new Cert BA 2017 syllabus and only cover the period from 11 January 2017 to 30 September 2017.
Don’t be deterred or disheartened by the low pass rates for some of the courses/ subjects/ levels. The good news is that like a good managed project (here’s an E2 reference for you, students!), you will just need to ensure you allocate the costs, time, resources, patience you need to get through the levels effectively.
